I am Tom Buscher, founder and creative director of Cedar & Shore Studio LLC in Sequim, Washington. I work as a photographer, multimedia designer, brand strategist, and web designer serving businesses, organizations, and professionals across the Olympic Peninsula and beyond. My studio delivers premium visual assets that help clients build trust, attract customers, and communicate value with clarity.

The Foundation: Education with Purpose

I enrolled at Peninsula College with a clear goal. I wanted to develop professional-grade skills across every discipline that powers modern visual communication. Today I am completing my AAS-T in Multimedia Communications: Web and Interactive Design with a 3.97 GPA and President’s List recognition every quarter. I also earned certificates in Digital Image Editing, Digital Video, Digital Storytelling and 3D Design, and Web, UI, and UX Design.

Each course connects directly to client-facing work. Graphic design, digital illustration, infographic and data visualization, social media marketing, user interface and experience design, video production, photojournalism, and advanced image editing are not filler credits. Together they form the skill stack I use to run a studio and deliver work that competes professionally.

I also received the Career and Technical Scholarship through the Washington State Opportunity Scholarship. In addition, I am pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Science in Business Management, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship, expected 2028. This path supports my goal of building a full creative and marketing operation rather than a simple camera business.

What I Do: Visual Assets That Work

Cedar & Shore Studio LLC is the umbrella for everything I produce commercially, including Cedar & Sky 107, a commercial drone services division with FAA Part 107 certification. My work spans commercial and brand photography, real estate and aerial imaging, professional headshots, editorial and documentary assignments, brand identity design, WordPress web design with SEO architecture, social media content strategy, and video production from concept through final delivery.

Across all of these services, I follow a consistent approach. Every project begins with a discovery conversation about the client’s goals, audience, and intended use. Every deliverable is created with purpose so it performs in the real world, not only in a portfolio.

Recognition That Reflects Real Standards

Photography and design are crowded fields. Recognition matters because it shows that the work holds up outside a client relationship.

My photography appeared in CM Digital Artist Magazine across three consecutive years: 2024, 2025, and 2026. Tidepools Magazine awarded my work third place in 2025 and second place in 2026, with publication in both issues. The image titled “Rage Before the Machine” was selected for Tidepools 2026. I also produced work for the Port Angeles Food Bank, the Sequim-Shiso Sister City Friendship Garden Open House, Pirates Pantry and Captain’s Closet, Peninsula College ASC Pirate Zombie Mud Run, The Olympic Discovery Trail, and two years of producing the Peninsula College Moving Pictures Film Festival productions.

Before founding Cedar & Shore Studio, I spent nearly three years at McKinley Paper in Port Angeles. I advanced through five production roles to dry-end operator, led crew teams, coordinated workflow, and redesigned employee onboarding documentation that reduced ramp-up time for incoming crew. That experience strengthened my ability to manage complexity, communicate clearly, and deliver reliably under pressure. I bring the same discipline and accountability to every client project.

What I Am Looking For

I bring a production-capable skill set across photography, design, web, and marketing. I also bring the discipline and business literacy required to manage client relationships and deliver consistently. I am interested in contributing these strengths to creative agencies, marketing firms, media organizations, publications, and businesses that need a serious visual communicator on their team. I am also open to select freelance contracts and studio partnerships that align with my standards and direction.
